On the day 3,feb,2022 there was a trip prepared by Hagergna Tour Club of SMU In the morning- head to the west of the capital some 55 km. along the Jimma road. Then we reach the crown forest called Menagesha Suba well protected by imperial decree since the reign of Emperor Zara Yaqob in the 15th c. and consisting substantial indigenous trees. Menagesha is good for hiking.  trees.

Walk around the forest and familiarize yourself with the variety of plants, animals and beautiful landscape. Frequently seen mammals are; endemic Menelik bush back, baboons and other primates hanging on

The trip contains 67 university students, this trip include different activities like hiking, playing games, visiting museums and trying some traditional activities of the community(horse riding). it was a challenging trip because of the number of the students and for most of them it was there first time to hike.

we hike 17km of the beautiful forest of suba which full of nature and different animal and plant species. after we reach the half of the mountain we land around the fountain which doesn't have the volume as we expected but still we have a good time. in our way back to our car we were welcomed by the kind hearted community and offered us a delicious traditional drink(tella) and food.

After all the amazing trip we start packing our staff and drive back to Addis Ababa, when we get back the students were having a good time inside the car. at the end of our destination(mexico shebelle campus) the students told us how much fun the had at the trip and few things to improve for the next time.
